LITERA 2024

MASTERCLASS & WORKSHOP

As part of Litera 2024, I held a masterclass for university students where I talked about my art and my artistic journey. During the session, I shared my personal experiences and creative process and talked about how we, as humans, are connected through stories.

The masterclass also included an art installation with red threads to demonstrate the power of stories. The students interacted with the red threads that had prompts attached to them and learned how to build up a story and a picturebook from an idea.

The red threads encouraged the students to visualise and map out their thoughts in a physical and dynamic way. The prompts were crafted to stimulate their imagination and provoke deeper reflection on personal and universal themes.

After they interacted with red threads and prompts, I held a workshop where I guided the students as they turned their ideas or stories into artworks.

The interactive session with red threads and prompts served as a catalyst for their creative thinking.

By the end of the session, each student had created a unique piece of artwork that embodied their personal story or idea.
